Crawling baby classes across North Devon
Busy Paws sessions follow on beautifully from Tiny Paws! We offer these sessions to babies who are on the move until they can walk confidently. Or if your baby has reached 10 months and not yet mastered moving they are still welcome to join our crawling classes.
At a Busy Paws session we build on familiar routines to help your baby feel success and grow in confidence! From the familiar hello song, favourite parachutes and scarf play they’ll soon feel settled in! Then it’s time to explore our three activity stations that are designed around sparking curiosity and promoting their emerging movement skills! Plus explore our themed photo area to try a bit of dressing up and snap some gorgeous photos!
At the end of the session we all come back together for bubbles before relaxing under the stars!
Every session includes a hot drink too, so you can feel a little bit looked after too!

What age does my baby need to be to attend Story Bears Busy Paws sessions?
Our crawling baby classes are deigned for babies on the move until they are walking confidently, or when your baby is 10 months, whichever comes first.
Can I join a Story Bears' class if my baby cries?
Yes! We know what it is like to be the parent with a baby that won’t stop crying- we’ve been there! We encourage you to follow your baby’s lead and dip in and out of the session as much as they need. We find with consistency babies will relax as they become familiar with the space and routine of our sessions.
What if I can’t make a Story Bears session that I’ve booked?
Sometimes a child is sick or things come up unexpectedly. You’re able to reschedule a PAYG booking to a different day up to 12 hours before the start time. Simply go to your booking confirmation email and hit the Reschedule Session button. Or if you feel you need to cancel, let us know up until 24 hours before the session start time and you will be issued credit to use in the future. For term bookings, you can get in touch to see if you can come to an alternative venue that week or gift your session to a friend.

Do I need to bring anything to a Story Bears baby session?
Not really, just your usual changing bag.
Can I feed in the session?
Absolutely, follow you baby’s lead and feed them whenever you need to. We just ask that bottle-feeding and snacks are given to your baby away from the play equipment to keep everything hygienic and free of allergens.
Can I bring twins to a Story Bears baby session?
Yes! We do not charge extra for twins.
How long are Story Bears Busy Paws sessions?
These sessions are 50 minutes long, 15 minute welcome and songs, 25 minutes explore time, 10 minutes bubbles and final songs.
Can more than one adult attend a Story Bears session?
Sure! Both parents are welcome to attend or you can bring along a grandparent too!
